Family Reunions on the Fly

Having a family reunion is one way that people who are spread all over the country manage to stay in touch. Catching up on the lives of all the people who you know and love can be extremely rewarding and above all else, important to those that may not be around much longer.

It is common for families to plan a reunion once a year and hope that they can get everyone in the family to that one location. Of course one never knows what will happen and planning is of the essence during this time of year.

To pull this off, you need to make sure that you are planning well ahead of time. At least two months notice is customary for a gathering of this type. If you go further back than two months, you should plan on sending reminders out about one month before the event; this will help remind those who have busy lives about the gathering.

Next you need to decide on a location. The location needs to be somewhere that is accessible to as many people as possible. You will also need to figure out the setting for the reunion. There are several choices, but the smart choice is a vacation rental property. You will most likely have some people in from out-of-state that will need to stay overnight; having a place, such as a vacation rental home, will provide them with just that.
